THIS SUMMER AND LEARN LANDSCAPE DRAWING IN A SUPPORTIVE, HANDS-ON
WORKSHOP!
Intensive
three-day on-site landscape drawing workshops open to all levels of
students aged 8 to 12 years old. Drawing workshops will be meeting at
various sites (Ordway Park, Shop Pond, Town Hall) around Hampstead for two
hours each afternoon. (An alternate “indoor” site will be available in
the case of in case of
inclement
weather). Group and individual instruction will introduce students to
logistics and techniques of on-site observational drawing - setting up and
selecting a composition. Students will be introduced to a variety of
drawing materials focusing on colored-pencils and oil pastels.
All in a supportive instructional environment emphasizing
the creative process and encouraging each student’s individual response to
the landscape.
